I love shoes. They’re a fun way to make a statement or add some interest to an outfit. Heels are beautiful, but I’ve learned over the years that it doesn’t make the most sense for me to invest in beautiful heels when I wear them so infrequently. Rather, flats are my best friends. Especially living in NYC, where I average 6 miles of walking each day, I need shoes that are comfortable, but nice enough to wear to work, classes, and everything in between.
I recently found the perfect pair of shoes, and I love them so much that I have to share. I had been wanting a pair of red shoes to pair with my predominantly neutral wardrobe, and I waited until this pair went on sale for 50% off, then bit the bullet. Hands-down, it was the best money I’ve spent on a pair of shoes (okay… maybe tied with my Hunter rain boots). They are cushiony on the insole and add the perfect amount of interest to my outfits. Simple, classic, and beyond comfortable. I’ve walked 10 miles in one day wearing these flats, and nothing but comfort. I love them so much that I’ve added the nude color to my wish-list.
If you’re looking for ballet flats this season, I highly recommend these – especially if you’re on your feet and/or walking a lot during the day! Although the cherry red leather pair that I purchased is no longer available, they come in so many fun colors and materials on Zappos, Nordstrom, and SamEdelman.com. In addition to the goes-with-everything nude color, I like these, these, and these. And this red suede pair is 40% off!
