08.22.12Reservoir Running

“Whoever invented the reservoir must have done it with him alone in mind. It was without flaw, a perfect lake set in the most unexpected of locations.”

As I’m finally having more time to get settled and explore my new neighborhood, I decided to head over a few blocks to The Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir in Central Park. It’s basically a small lake surrounded by a 1.58 mile path for runners and walkers. Being there is such a change of pace from the rest of the city; it’s calming, quiet, and green. I love that it’s so close that I can walk over after work in the evenings – I just head up to the 85th Street entrance from my apartment on 77th. The sun was beginning to set when I was there a couple nights ago, and so I had to pause to snap a few photos during my run. Enjoy!

Just don’t be one of those joggers who end up in the first 5 minutes of a Law & Order episode. Kidding! 😉 Miss you.
