02.28.13MS Climb to the Top at Rockefeller Center

It’s time for another shameless promotion! This weekend is a big weekend – not only is it my dear sister’s 26th birthday on Saturday (happy birthday!!!), but it’s the culmination of months and months of work, planning, and preparation. It’s the 5th anniversary of MS Climb to the Top at Rockefeller Center! Most of the money we bring in to support the programs, services, and research for those living with MS and their families in the New York City – Southern New York region is fundraised through three big events that my department and I work on year-round. Bike MS NYC is in October, and Walk MS is coming up in April, but this Sunday, March 3 is Climb to the Top!

Almost 1,500 participants will be climbing the 66 flights (1,215 steps!) to the top of Rockefeller Center to see unmatched views of NYC. Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 through this event, and we are well on our way!

But it’s not too late to register! You can register at www.climbmsnyc.org until this Friday, March 1 at noon. If you aren’t going to be in NYC this weekend, you can make an online donation to my sweet fiancé’s fundraising efforts! Rob is supporting my work and the work of the National MS Society by climbing this Sunday to help create a world free of MS.

I haven’t been to the Top of the Rock since Rob and I made our first visit to NYC together in November 2011 – the views were truly incredible! And at the time, I never would have guessed I’d be putting on a fundraising event to the top of that very building. :-)
